Your Privacy Matters
Proof of Life Inc. ("we," "our," or "us") operates the Polinc platform. We are committed to protecting your personal information and your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and safeguard your information when you use our services.
Information We Collect
We separate your information into two distinct categories:
A. Account Information
Data required to run the service and verify your "Proof of Life" status:
- Identity Data: Name, email address, phone number (for verification pings).
- Beneficiary Data: Contact details of the individuals you designate to receive access.
- Transactional Data: Subscription status and payment records.
B. Assets Data (Encrypted - Invisible to Us)
"Assets Data" refers to any and all digital assets, credentials, documents, or notes you upload to the Secure Vault. Because of our encryption protocols, we collect this strictly as unintelligible code. We do not know what assets you are storing.
How We Use Your Information
We use your information for the following purposes:
- To provide you with account updates and transactional messages
- To improve our services and customer experience
Sharing Your Information
We do not share your personal information with third parties for marketing purposes. We do not sell your data. We share access to data only under the following specific conditions:
- To Your Beneficiaries: You explicitly authorize us to grant access to your Assets Data to your designated Beneficiaries ONLY if you fail to respond to "Proof of Life" verifications within your pre-set timeframe, and the subsequent verification process confirms a valid life event (e.g., death or incapacity).
- Compliance with Law: Like all technology providers, we may be required to disclose account information if compelled by a valid court order or subpoena. However, because your Assets Data is encrypted, we are generally unable to provide law enforcement with the decrypted contents of your vault, only the encrypted files and your account metadata.
Your Privacy Rights
You have the following privacy rights:
- Access your personal information
- Correct inaccuracies in your personal information
- Request deletion of your personal information
